The recent update to Roon packages now supports Apple AirPlay 2, offering improved performance and reliability. This means that devices like Apple HomePod, Apple HomePod mini, and Apple TV can seamlessly integrate into the Roon ecosystem. Roon Labs LLC reports that over ten percent of Roon users own an Apple HomePod, allowing them to use it in a stereo pair or hybrid setup within Roon. Simply adjust the settings using the Apple Home app to get started. Additionally, you can group Apple HomePod with other AirPlay 2 or AirPlay-enabled devices, while still being able to use all first-generation Apple AirPlay devices with Roon without any issues.
