Holo Audio offers Serene a fully balanced, high-performance preamplifier based on discrete components. The left and right channels are separated, each with independent amplifier modules. In addition, the amplifier is equipped with a two-stage buffer and amplifier section. The preamplifier focuses on attenuation characteristics and provides excellent low-level reproduction.
Its discrete amplifier modules focus on the characteristics of the transistors themselves, allowing them to overcome conventional transistor limitations. This design promotes fine and transparent sound reproduction, combining the advantages of both transistor and tube systems. Moreover, the use of a large number of transistors favors the linearity of the preamplifier.
For the power stage, Holo Audio Serene uses a completely independent structure that can provide audio circuits with a perfectly clean and stable electrical signal.
For volume control, the Serene uses an 84 dB analog step system with a two-channel matching error of just ±0.1 dB. Each step corresponds to 1 dB in the range -78 dB to +6 dB. Thus, it provides very low noise levels and can be precisely adjusted.
